I’m Courtney Helms, a holistic health practitioner based in Solana Beach, CA and licensed acupuncturist in Hawaii. I specialize in needle-free microcurrent therapy and Oriental Medicine, supporting women and children in regulating their nervous systems and restoring wellness—gently and beautifully.

From Behavior Therapy to Whole-Body Healing

With a Bachelor’s in Child Development, I began my career supporting neurodivergent children as a behavior therapist. But I quickly saw a bigger picture—moms needed support too, and true healing had to go deeper than behavior plans.

This led me to acupuncture and a life-changing education at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, where I trained with Master Herbalist, Acupuncturist and Doctors in both Eastern and Western medicine. I came out with a foundation in both ancient wisdom and modern biomedical science, ready to treat the body as a fully interconnected system. But when I had my two babies just 18 months apart, I saw the limits of traditional acupuncture access firsthand. That’s when thEARapy was born.

The Birth of thEARapy​

I realized how hard it was to access the care I needed. So I created thEARapy—a handmade, crystal ear seed kit that brings auriculotherapy into everyday life with beauty and intention. Auriculotherapy is the stimulation of acupoints on the outer ear to create a positive change towards healthier bodily functioning. Metal pellets (Ear Seeds) are placed on specific acupoints on the ear sending signals through our nervous system to reduce pain, increase emotional wellness and support internal organ systems.

Why Microcurrent Changed Everything

​

When my son suffered a traumatic brain injury, our healing journey introduced me to microcurrent therapy. Using tools like the Acuscope and Avazzia, I witnessed incredible shifts in regulation, recovery, and emotional well-being—without needles.

This technology now forms the heart of my practice.
